OCS Complete Mechanical and Electrical Contract at Páirc Uí Chaoímh
20 July 2017
OCS have completed their work with the Cork County Board on the redevelopment of Páirc Uí Chaoímh stadium’s electrical services ahead of this weekend’s GAA Hurling Championship fixtures.
Páirc Uí Chaoímh will be the first smart stadium in Ireland and the UK. The entire stadium is WiFi enabled, with 4G Vodafone technology installed and the capacity to upgrade to next generation 5G. It is also the first stadium in the country to use LED Flood lighting. Intermittent phone and data coverage will be a thing of the past.
OCS is looking forward to seeing the first score of many, as dreams are fulfilled and memories made in the new Paírc Uí Chaoímh. Gerard Lane (Chairman Cork GAA), was on hand to show the media around the €70million project.
OCS’ Managing Director Aine Mulcahy (pictured above) stated that “OCS are privileged to have worked with Cork County Board on this project. Páirc Uí Chaoímh is now a world class multi-purpose facility and will serve the people of Cork, Munster and Ireland long into the future.”
As Electrical Services Contractor OCS was delighted to play an integral part of this project demonstrating that OCS can deliver major projects to the highest possible standards. Delivering not just for today but also future proofing and planning for ever changing demands and requirements.
